FAQs

Some of our frequently asked questions

I’m not a mum. Can I still attend a retreat?

Absolutely, you don’t have to be Mum (to a human baby or fur baby) to attend our retreats and we'd love to you to join us. Whilst our model is built for Mums, because we know how hard it is to prioritise time and money for self-care, our retreats are also a perfect fit for ladies who want to take time out from life-duties! If you’re a woman who needs a break and wants all the hassle taken out of planning one, then muMEcations is for you.

Can I come by myself?

Yes, we encourage you to come along and make some new friends in a friendly and supportive environment where you will connect with likeminded women. We've had many women attend our retreats by themselves and have formed lovely relationships with attendees, to the point where they have planned attending subsequent muMEcation retreats together!

Is every day fully planned with activities and itinerary?

No, our retreats are designed for you to enjoy your free time where you may like to rest, take a walk along the beach, hit the shops or jump on a jet ski…the choice is all yours! Structured activities include welcome drinks, dinners and additional activities such as High Tea or Sunset Cruise.

Can I organise my own activities on the retreat?

This retreat is all about yes absolutely, however we are also happy to do this for you. We’ve done all the research for you on local destinations, activities and dining experiences and will provide you with the information prior to the retreat. So, all you need to do is pick what you want to do and when you want to do it and we’ll take care of the finer details and invoice you for the cost of the activity.

Are flights included in retreat prices?

No, we don't include flights as ladies fly from various locations to attend our retreats and it can be quite time consuming to arrange and manage multiple flight bookings. Flights are easy to book online and we will keep you updated of any fare sales and let you know when it's a good time to book.

I would like to attend a retreat but am worried that I can't afford it.

We understand that Mums often do not have extra money to spend on luxury items and want to make our retreats affordable and accessible by offering a range of payment options to suit your individual budget, please visit our 'PAYMENT OPTIONS' for further information. We also encourage you to suggest a muMEcations gift voucher to your family and friends for a special occasion and this will help you save for your dream retreat.

I want to travel with friends but have my own room, is this possible?

We offer various room categories and configurations for single travellers and friends travelling together. If you cannot see your preferred room in retreat prices, please contact us so we can explore alternative options for you.

I would like to organise a retreat for a group of friends, can you arrange this?

Yes, we offer bespoke retreats for groups of friends or business teams that are shaped, planned, and located based on your wants and needs. As experienced travel guides, we can help you select and put together your ultimate retreat itinerary and package to suit every taste, vibe and budget. Simply get in touch and we’ll start planning!

Do you have minimum and maximum numbers for your retreats?

We require a minimum of eight attendees for retreats to operate. The maximum numbers for retreats depend on the location and accommodation availability and may often be coordinated into separate groups to make sure everyone is properly supported.

What happens after I book on a retreat?

You will be given login details for your own online client portal where you can access your invoice, emails, forms and retreat information as well as manage your payments. Everything you need is in the one place, accessible 24/7, and designed to make your life easy because that’s what we love doing. We will also invite you to join a private (and optional) Facebook group where you can connect with other attendees.

What if I have to cancel and can't attend the retreat?

We understand that unexpected issues may arise and you may not be able to attend at the last minute, and we want to make sure cancelling is as easy as it can be for you. We consider every situation individually to come up with the best game plan to support you through the process and reschedule wherever we can whilst minimising any out-of-pocket expenses.

How do I know what to pack?

We will send you an email with a suggested list of what to pack and some tips to help you get organised for your retreat prior to departure.
